is the signature on pottery, clay panels, and
sculpture created by Don Lewis and displayed in The Wildwood Gallery
in the mountains of South Carolina. A livelihood potter and sculptor,
his work has been included in national and international juried competitions
sponsored by the American Federation of Arts, the American Crafts Council,
and the Smithsonian Institution, as well as numerous regional and one-man
shows.
In 1976, he was one of eleven Americans whose work was selected to
Italy's 34th Faenza International Pottery Exposition. He is a Distinguished Alumnus of Furman
University, and he received his pottery training
at Marguerite Wildenhain's Pond Farm Workshop in Guerneville, California, in
1961..
A founder of Twelve
Designers-Craftsman and an exhibiting member of the Southern Highland
Handicraft Guild, Don Lewis has been featured on the cover of Ceramics
Monthly and is included in Who's Who in American Art.
